A Mother's Love Blog Hop

Welcome to A Mother's Love Blog Hop . . . what a wonderful blessing of a "mother's love" as it is unconditional! Today we are expressing our love to mother, our love of being a mother or a grandmother and even a special aunt!!!!

Remember those special bondings with the special woman, mother, that is and was in your life! How would you express your love? Well, hop along with us and see all the wonderful expression of a "Mother's Love".

We have the very very most phenomenal blog candy to one lucky winner to either keep or give as a gift - Lisa Woodward, who many know and love has another crafting talent with a business of her own! Lisa is offeingr a soap, lotion and bath salt gift set in the winners choice of fragrance!!! How great of a blog candy is that! Lisa's business is simplysilverton.

If you have just stopped for a visit today -- welcome and glad you came but I wouldn't want you to miss a single testimony along the way and would want you to start at the beginning with Lynne at Her Craftiness (http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/). If you arrived from Kimberly's blog then you are following a mother's love.

Mother's Day is really just another day in my house. I don't believe in having to do something nice for my Mom "just because" it's Mother's Day, I do stuff for her all year long. Same goes for my kids, they are either sweet children or little stinkers, it being Mother's Day doesn't change that! lol
So, my Mom LOVES dark chocolate, so I bought her some of those Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffle things and thought I could make the packaging just a little prettier than the blue bag. I made a gift box, which is actually called a "Cookie Box" that I found for FREE here: http://www.theprojectgirl.com/2009/12/12/cookie-box-neighbor-gift-with-freebie/. I used Stampin Up paper from the "Ice Cream Parlor" Collection, which was given to me by my dear friend Pamela! :) The embellies on the sides of the box are also from this collection, minus the rhinestones, I added those b/c everything looks better with bling!! The flower on top is from Scraptastical Kreations, Elegant Florals file.
Then I made a card using LSHD's past freebie, Hoppy Mother's Day. Plain and simple.
The kids loved giving it to her and she LOVED all of it, I think she even liked the box better than the chocolates! lol

  3. So cute! What great paper for a box, makes it very streamline. I'm definitely going to have to get that file. Your flower looks so real, you'll have to tell me what you did to make the petals pop! Beautiful.
