Thinking outside the Yolk

Welcome to Her Craft Kre8tions first ever Blog Hop which we are calling Thinking Outisde the Yoke. Each Design Team Member was given a paper mache egg and were to transform this into something other than what was given to them originally. Our Design Team is to think outside of the "card" and do something other than cards and layouts. What a challenge .... could you meet this challenge?

Let's start with thinking outside of the yoke of our eggs . . . .

Hey all! I did a lot of thinking on this project! To make something other than a layout is hard enough, but to make an egg something other than egg.... really a challenge for me!
I finally ended up deciding on a flower. Then came the hardest part.... MAKING it! lol
I had some scraps of thin metal laying around, so I cut them into petal shapes and a couple of leaves. Then I used Sizzix embossing plates to emboss each piece. Also used some perfect medium and Perfect Pearls powders.

Originally, I had painted the bottom half of my egg green and put a white sparkle dust on the top for the middle of the flower. I did not like it! SO, I used micro beads to cover the top of the egg instead, slightly better.
I used double sided tape to attach the petals and leaves to my egg and stuck a wired stem up thru the bottom.
Topped it off with a butterfly from Scraptastical Kreations.
