Project Life is a Project!

Well, I finally made another attempt at a PL spread.  I put 2014 on hold and did last week instead. I was hoping if everything was still "fresh" in my mind it would be easier. It wasn't. lol

I am almost embarrassed to admit that it took me 3 days to do this, THREE DAYS!

I have used a few different files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs to accent and embellish.

I should add that I have used one of my FAVE embellishments as well.... STICKLES!  Who doesn't love a little sparkle?? :)

As painstaking as it is for me, I really want to keep doing it.  So if you have any tips for me, leave them in the comments! :)

My first Project Life layout!

Project Life

Hey all!

So, back in 2013, I bought a whole bunch of stuff to do Project Life in 2014.  After a few weeks of trying to remember to take pics everyday, and sometimes being successful with that, I sat down to whip out some layouts.  Ya, that didn't happen.  In fact, I struggled so much trying to make one , that I put it all away and never even looked at it again.

Until recently.

A few of my crafty friends started a FB page, Bimini Moose, which is all about PL and pocket scrapbooking.

Well they totally inspired me to get my stuff out and give it a go, again.

After a couple days of headaches, I managed to put this together.

I used a few favorite patterns from Little Scraps of Heavens Designs to accent my layout and for my title.

I am not completely happy with it, but happy I did it!

Seeing how this is week one from 2014, I have a lot to catch up on! lol

Hopefully it gets easier, and I get better at it, as I keep going!

Back to School!

#1 Teacher Gifts

Hey all!

So, along with the bus driver's gift, I also sent in little treat bags for all my kids' teachers. (The 3 oldest, anyways. Twins go back to pre-k next week!)

I used a few files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and the to/from stamps are by Jaded Blossom.

Inside the bags are a bottle of water with a to-go packet of iced tea mix, a dark chocolate Dove bar and a mini hand sanitizer.  Staples for a first day back to school! :)

The teachers all loved them!

Back to School!!!

Ready to "ROLL"

It's back to school time in my neck of the woods (YAY!) and I like to send then back with little treats for their teachers, and of course, the bus driver!

So, for the bus driver, I thought of this clever idea of ready to "roll", and filling a container with Tootsie Rolls! Now, I am sure I probably saw this, or something like it, on Pinterest at some point and it stuck in my brain because I am in no way THAT clever! :)

I had a paint can from M's on hand, so I filled that with Tootsie Rolls and then made a "title piece" for the top using MTC.

For the tag, I used a few files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and then just tied it on with some ribbon. 

Quick and simple gift just to show you thought of them :)

After all, they play just as important role in our kids' day as their teachers! :)

Sharing a sweet "Elmo" birthday card I made using a fun file from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. 

 "Sunny Days Gang" has so many cute characters, it was hard to choose which to use first!

This card would be perfect for any little  guy on his special day!

Happy Birthday Card!!

Happy Birthday!!

Hey all!  So today I have a special birthday card to share with you all..... my daughter's!!  She turned 6 yesterday and will be having her "Frozen" themed party this weekend.

She looks forward to her birthday card from me every year. So, sweet, right? :)

For her card this year I used several files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I used the png file that it is included with each file with my the print and cut feature on the Cameo.

I then used Stickles to dress them up and some rhinestones.

Then I busted my new stamps from Jaded Blossom, "Hello Candies" to add some fun sentiments to the front.

She LOVED it!!!

So easy and so much fun to make!!!

End of the Year Teacher Gifts

ORANGE you Glad it's Summer?

My kids' last day of school was the other day, and I always make the teachers, (and the bus driver, bus monitor, teacher aides, school secretaries, and school therapists) something for and end of year gift.  

I saw this idea on Pinterest, you can find the original post HERE, and thought it was super cute and perfect for the end of the school year!

I bought a whole bunch of orange stuff, FUN stuff, like bubbles, frisbees, candy, water balloons, cups, shot glasses, oranges, tic tacs... anything I found that was orange!

For the bags, I bought plain white gift bags and decorated them using my Cameo and MTC and "Got Juice? Mice" file by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

I also used the scalloped circle from "Lots of Labels" to make the tags.

I made a total of 22 of these bags. I think I could make this mouse in my sleep! haha

They were a huge hit with everyone tho!  Everyone thought they were super fun! Mission accomplished!

Coaches Gifts!

Don't forget about the coaches!

I have 3 kids playing baseball this year, in 3 different divisions.  They all have at least 3 amazing coaches.  I made them all a little treat box, using My Scrap Chick's popcorn box and then decorated it using Little Scraps of Heaven Designs "Little League" file.

I filled them with some baseball related treats.... sunflower seeds, peanuts (I asked about allergies before hand!) Dubble Bubble, a baseball bat pen and some chocolates.  Nothing major, but the coaches all loved them.  A little treat to get them thru the last couple of games & practices!

I made a total of 12, 5 red, 7 orange.

Baseball Pages!!

Play Ball!!!!

Ugh..... I know.... I have been neglecting my blog for what seems like forever! I'm sorry!!!

Baseball has taken over my LIFE for the last 2+ months!!

I have 3 ids playing this year, in 3 different divisions, across 3 different towns.  It's been hectic to say the least!

I have been scrapping, a little here and there, and have a few LO's to share today!

These are some of the LO's I made for Austin's teammates.  He was on the Sacramento River Cats this year and had some awesome coaches as well!

All the parents loved them. but the kids loved them even more!!  That made my heart super happy!

Make A Splash!

I am not sure where the time is going anymore, but I do not have enough time to scrap these days!  With 3 kids playing baseball, and in 3 different divisions, we are at at least one field every night, sometimes two! Plus weekends as well.  Always on the GO!

But I did manage to get this page done.  I know I have more pics somewhere, so there will prob be a page 2 at some point as well :)

Sparkly Princess Birthday

"Once upon a time...."

Hey all!

So I started scrapping Maddie's 3rd birthday, which was a "Sparkly Princess" theme. :)

I used a couple files from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for this LO and then used Strawberry thickers to create the title.

I absolutely LOVE the Princess files from LSHD!

Hey all!!  

So I have a super special LO to share with you today!

I made this LO for my son's future MIL.  Yup, he's 7 and he has it all planned out! LOL

The story behind this LO:  
He has had a crush on a girl, Lexy, since last year.  They were in the same Kindergarten class.  Sadly, they are in different classes this year, and Austin misses her, a lot!  He had asked if he could give her a Valentine. Seeing how they are in different classes, I was going to mail it to her.  No biggie.  
I was heading out to Target and Michael's one day and he asked if he could come and if we could go to Toys R Us too so that he could use a GC he had from his birthday. Sure, no problem!
We get to the toy store, and he heads for the GIRL aisles, and walked up and down EVERY SINGLE ONE. I asked him what he was doing "Looking for something special for Lexy."  Very matter-of-fact.
We shopped for quite a while there and at Target, where he also spent  some of his tooth fairy money.  Long story short (kinda! lol)  He picked out a pink bear, chocolates and some Debbie Cakes, every girls dream gift! lol
He also made her a card, b/c "handmade means from the heart".  Yup, he's a crafter's son. :)

 We made a special trip to her house on Valentine's Day to deliver his special gifts, and

of course, I took pics!!

I used the "Oh So Loved" file for the main elements, then added a retired freebie "Interlocking Hearts", the big heart is from "Wanted For Stealing Hearts"  and the tag is from "Tag 1"

I also used some Rumple Ribbon from Love Bug Creations!!

And here is the note he wrote to her to tuck behind a picture:

Best love story ever!

I absolutely LOVE how my bears turned out, and the whole LO really!  Of course, having such cute pics definitely helps!

Playful Ponies

I used the "Pretty Ponies" file.

My girls are always playing with their ponies, especially Jessie, so I know this will be the first of many Pony LO's to come!

Scrappy Thursday!!

As many of you know, Dr. Seuss' birthday was on March 2. My kids celebrated his birthday in school on Monday, so I have a few LO's to make!

Thankfully, Little Scraps of Heaven Designs has this cute new file "Fun to Have Fun" so it has made making these LO's super easy, and FUN!

My 7 yr old had to make a hat at home to wear, and he actually won 1st place for "Tallest Hat"!

Here's a LO I made for his school book:

I made the title in MTC and used the cat's hat.

My 5 yr old made a hat in school and on it she wrote, "I Love to Read!", which she does!

Using the same file, here is the LO I made for her book:

Obviously, I still have to print out the pics, but my LO's are ready and waiting!

Happy Thursday, all!!!

One of my sons had a Toy Story party a few years back. I have the pics on one of many SD cards and will eventually get them printed. And when I do, this LO will be ready and waiting!

I have used the new "Toy Box Buddies".  I also used "Pretty Ponies".  Both files are by Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I combined the pieces from the horse and a pony to make my "bullseye".

A Special Valentine's Day Mini

I have made a Valentine's Day mini album, using a few different files from LSHD;

My Squeakheart, Beary Sweet, and Lots of Labels.

The album measures 5x7 and has lots of places to put pics,notes and mementos.

This is a special project, as it will be raffled off at a local Valentine's Day Ball to raise money for kids fighting cancer.

For Stealing Hearts!

Happy Thursday!!  Colleen here sharing another Lo with you!

My 7 year old is always making "heart hands" when I take his pic.  Anyone who knows him, knows he is a real charmer, and he will definitely be the one to steal some hearts!

So, I made this LO, using "Wanted For Stealing Hearts" to put some pics of him and his heart hands.

Of course, I do not have the pics printed yet. ;)
